Bury Farm Collective is located on a delightful farm setting in Hertfordshire. We have an interior design showroom and curtain making workrooms where we hand-make curtains and soft furnishings to a high standard. It is a creative and welcoming environment where students and clients can relax and feel at home.
We award a Certificate of Accreditation on completion of each course attended. On completion of COURSE ONE, TWO & THREE and MAKING OF CUSHIONS, students are awarded an Accredited ‘DIPLOMA in Professional Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings’.
Victoria Hammond has 20 years professional experience as a curtain making, soft furnishing and interior design specialist working on prestigious projects mainly in London and surrounding counties. She grew up helping her mother sew, who ran a successful curtain making and upholstery business. Following graduation with a Degree in Textiles and a Diploma in Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings, Victoria gained experience working for fabric and design companies before establishing her business in 2001. She set up Bury Farm Academy in 2008, and now thoroughly enjoys training people alongside working with private interior design clients. Victoria and other tutors at the Academy teach to a high standard using traditional hand sewing methods. Victoria is always willing to share her expertise and professional tips that she has gained in many years of running her business. Victoria believes in maintaining relationships with those who have attended courses and provides on going support advising on all aspects of the curtain making industry.
